Rimutaka Lions is a volunteer service organisation dedicated to supporting the Upper Hutt community through fundraising, hands-on projects, and local partnerships. Part of the global Lions network, members work together to address community needs, support wellbeing initiatives, and strengthen local connections under the Lions motto “We Serve.”
Lions meet the needs of local communities and the world every day because they share a core belief – to serve their community.
Lions have a dynamic history. Founded in 1917, they are best known for fighting blindness, but they also volunteer for many different kinds of community projects – including caring for the environment, feeding the hungry and aiding seniors and the disabled.
